As I was looking back at my blog from last year I noticed
that it was lacking... I did not stay up to date on my
cute little family. I missed out on so much
(and so did all of you).
I want to do better so one of my goals
for the year 2011 is to blog at LEAST once a month.

I am going to do better at blogging this year!!!

That is what it will be like in my house soon. Yes, I am going to have another baby!!!! We are so excited for the new one. It is fun to listen to the kids talk about what they think it will be. The boys want a boy and Austin wants a girl. Then they try to make Alissa take a side. Scott gets in on this too. He says the rest of our kids will be boys - no more girls! (We will see)

We told my family by copying two of my sister...the first one wore a shirt that said "Baby Bump" on her belly. My other sister had her husband wear the "Baby Bump" shirt. So we decided to have Alissa wear our. My family wasn't sure if I was really pregnant or making fun of them. It took a few minutes for them to realize that I was serious.

I am due the first week of August. There are 4 of us in may family and Scott's sister that are expecting about the same time. This makes 5!!! We are all due about 2 1/2 months apart (from end of June to beginning of Sept). I think it will be so much fun to be pregnant together and have babies that are the same age. This will also make the summer very busy!

Jana here are the pics of my "Austin Sundae".

Here is the story for those that don't know it:

This happened about 2 years ago.
I was on the computer doing bills and balancing the checkbook (when I do
this I tend to tune everything out). I remember hearing the fridge open and
close but it didn't phase me. I continued with bills.
A few minutes later Chase comes running in and says "Come look what we did to Austin!"
That is never a good sentence so I hurried into the
bedroom to see what destruction had been caused. To my surprise Austin was
sitting in her crib COVERED in chocolate syrup.
As you can tell she was enjoying every minute of it. They also got syrup all over
their room and the bathroom. I had to laugh at this-mainly because it was that or cry.
So I grabbed my camera and had a good laugh.
Still to this day Chase and Gavin ask when they can make an "Austin Sundae" again.
They think it would make a good Family night. Maybe some day...

Today I went over to my mom's house to have my sister, Alicia, help me with my hair. I needed some ideas of what to do with my mane for family photos. Well, things got a little too quiet...except for Alissa crying in the background. I've come to realize that when things get quiet my kids (more importantly Austin) are probably getting into something or making some kind of mess.
Alicia and I went to check on our six kids and this is what we found.......

I've had a lot going on the past two months. Two of my cute sisters got married, so that means that I have two new brothers.

Terra married Daniel and Stephanie married Steve.

Both ceremonies went really well and were a lot of fun. We had the family involved right up until the day of on both. It was super busy but everything turned out in the and and both were amazingly beautiful. I was even able to make Stephanie's wedding cake.

I got to be a room mom for Chase's Valentine party at school. That was a lot of fun. Chase and his classmates were so excited to hand out cards and candy to each other. It's funny to look back at what we all acted like at one time. They got to play games - like Mailman, Mailman (like Button, Button but they had a paper heart that was the "Mail" and the one who was "it" was the Mailman. They each had a turn being the Mailman and hiding the Mail.

This is before during and after the Valentine pass out. As you can tell they had a ton of fun.

We've had a lot of snow on and off the last little bit. During one of the big storms Scott took the kids out and played in the snow. They made a giant snowball and a hill to slide down. They were all bundled up and reminded me of the kid on "A Christmas Story". Alissa didn't get to stay out with the big kids so I took a picture with her snow hat on anyway.

Then I ended up with an infection that put me in the hospital for two nights. I wad dehydrated and had to have an IV and antibiotics pumped into me. It wasn't bad as far as hospital stays go but I don't want to do that again. ; ( I'm glad that I have the husband that I do because he stayed home with the kids and took care of them and the house while I was up there.

While I was in the hospital Austin fell and hit the side of her head on our computer desk. She ended up with her first Shiner. She was tough though. I think dad had a harder time with it than she did.

The first weekend in March was super busy. First we went to the Draper Temple Open House. I got enough tickets for my whole family and Scott's. There were almost 50 of us all together. Scott's mom and two sisters were up from Cali and came too. That was a neat experience to be able to take my kids through the temple and show them what was in there. I think their favorite room was the Celestial Room. They kept looking up at the chandelier. Gavin said "It is even bigger than grandpa!" They were amazed at everything. Austin keeps saying "I'm getting married in the temple." It was a lot of fun. The next day was Alissa's blessing so we had all the family there for that as well. It is nice to see so much love and support. I also had to talk in Sacrament Meeting. Ahhhhhhhhhh!!! The new Young Women's presidency had to talk on the 5th article of faith. (Oh ya, I got put in as the new YW President the first part of Feb.) I did ok but I don't like giving talks. After church we went over to my mom's for dinner. We took some 4 generation pictures. It is cool to be able to do that. I only knew 1 of my great grandparents and think it will be cool for my kids to see pictures of them with theirs.

Well, during the Olympics my kids were so into all of the competitions...especially the swimming, gymnastics and the races. So we we decided to have our own family Olympics at the park. We had six events: the 5 meter swim, shot put, 5 meter hurdles, gymnastics, saber, and the 25 meter dash.

After we were all done we tied it into the Plan of Happiness. We each have to work hard to reach a goal. At the end we all work towards and hope to attain the gold medal (Celestial Kingdom).

Fun at Grandma's

Just before school started we went down to my grandma's house to play in her irrigation. My kids were so excited to see her yard flood. (She floods her backyard and garden once a week with the irrigation water to water it.) I've been doing this since I was little...and still love it!!!

We all have fun splashing and playing in the water.

Chase had so much fun and was so excited for school. Every day Chase runs out and tells me what happened during the day. It is so much fun to see them so excited to learn and about school. He loves it.

Back on Sept. 6 & 7 there was a race called The Wasatch 100. It's a race that the runners travel up and down mountain trails from Fruit Heights to Midway. The reason I know about this is because of Scott's dad. Yup he decided to run it. We got to help him at aid stations and we were there at the finish line at the Homestead to finish it up with him.

Well, Scott had to go to Texas all week last week for some training for his job. I got to hang out all week with the 3 kids. It was kind of tricky but we got through it. I even painted the kids room while he was gone. All in all we were so excited to have Daddy come home. We all went down to pick him up at the airport. Here are the kids with Scott.

I know you've all been wondering if I've fallen off the face of the Earth. Well, I'm back and I'm going to be a better blogger. I've got a ton of catching up to do. So here we go.

TRI and FINISH

Alright, I have now completed my first triathlon. There were a lot of people there (about 460 or so). There were women from the ages of 12 to 66. There was even one that was 5 months pregnant. It was cool to see so many different ladies there.

It started with the 300 Meter swim, which I finished in 11.09 minutes. The pool was twice as long as I was used to so it kind of wiped me out quicker than I thought. I was slower than I thought I was going to be, but I think it threw a lot of people off. My first transition took 4.54 minutes. Then we had our 11.4 mile bike ride. There was a loop that we had to ride twice. It started with a monster uphill ride, then leveled out a bit and finally ended with a great downhill towards the finish. The bike ride lasted 55.46 minutes. My second transition was 1.29 minutes. Then it all finished up with a 3.1 mile run. I think this was my hardest part for me. It was different going from bike to running than I thought it would be. I ran it in 36.07 minutes - which was slower than I wanted to be. In all I finished in 1 hour 49 minutes 28.31 seconds.
I wanted to finish before 1 hour 45 minutes but I forgot to add in transition times to my goal. So I feel I still made it in my goal time. I was glad that I did that. Oh, and I wasn't last. ; )

I had fun doing it (especially with my friends). I wish I could've hung out a little more after I finished so I could relax and enjoy it a little more.

We had to hurry back up to Ogden so that Chase and Gavin could do their Kids K at the Ogden Marathon with a bunch of their cousins (Renee, Timothy, Dallin and Katie). We made it back in time. Chase and Gavin did so good. Austin was in the stroller but she had fun too. At the finish line they each got a cowbell necklace - and then a few feet later there were Creamies. They all had a ton of fun.

Cinco de Mayo

Happy Cinco de Mayo!!!

We had a Cinco de Mayo family night last night.

We had one of Scott's mission companions with his family and one of our

friends from school with her fam there. It was so much fun...

We had dinner - taquittos and 7 layer bean dip - and had a pinata for the kids to

break open. It was at the nearby park so the kids could play and be outside.

I left my camera at home (I was sad) so I don't have any pics... :(

Well, we just had a going away party for Jeromy & Karly & Steve (Karly's Bro). They are going up to Alaska for the summer.

They leave the 13th of May and don't come back until Sept. 17th or so. They will be working at Doc Warner's (they do fishing tours) in Excursion Inlet.

It should be so much fun. I wish I could go. I've always wanted to go there. This is the 3rd summer that some of my family will be going up there. So far Terra, Mom, Dad, Grandma Bodily and Grandpa Ivie. One of these years I'll be able to, but we'll see when.

Alright, we have officially entered the Weber County school system. Chase had his kindergarten round-up the other day. He is sooooooo excited to go to school in the fall. He had so much fun. He will be going to Roosevelt Elementary. He is going to be a Roosevelt Raptor - Chase is not at all excited about that ; ) . There is a huge raptor in the entry way at the school and he thought that was the coolest thing ever.

For me this is the beginning of the end. This year Chase, next year Gavin and it just goes on and on from there.

Triathlon here I come

Well for any of you who don't know I'm getting ready for my first triathlon. It will be on Saturday, May 17. The triathlon I'm doing is called "Women of Steel", and this year it is being held in American Fork. I am so excited for it.

I'm doing it with three girls that work with me at the club (Emily, Ann Elise & Cathrine). Emily got us all started. We all train together and have fun.

The triathlon we're doing is 5K run(3.1 miles), 10 mile bike ride, & 300 meter swim. I've still got a lot to do to get ready but I'm getting there. I can do the 5K for sure and the other two are close but I've got to get to where I can do all three one right after the other.

It is the same day as the Ogden Marathon. My finishing goal is between 1 1/2 hours and hopefully 1 hour 45 minutes. I just want to make it back to Ogden in time for Chase & Gavin to do the kids K with their cousins at the Ogden Marathon. If I can do that I figure that I did pretty well, especially for a first timer.
